The
Chairman’s Cup – the premiere award of the KSSA - was presented to Kent Schools Sailing Association by our
recent President Paddy Nesham at the time of her chairmanship of the Kent County
Council.
The
award is made each year at the KSSA Regatta for special endeavour.
This
year the trophy goes to a person
who has made a strong contribution both on and off the water to sailing in Kent.

County Sailing Team member for a number of years helping senior and junior
sailors

County
Sailing Team Captain for the past two years
·
An
enthusiastic all-round performer with expertise in a number of classes
especially the Laser
·
A KSSA
Executive Committee member representing the interests of the sailors
·
A great
ambassador for his school, Club, KSSA, and the sport of sailing in general
The
Chairman’s Cup for 2002 goes to a member of Bewl Valley SC and student at
Maidstone Grammar School, he is Richard Turnill.
We
wish Richard well in his future sailing and forthcoming University studies.
