Chloe Martin was selected for the British Sailing Team for the ISAF World Youth Championships following a stunning performance at the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Youth Championships at Hayling Island over Easter. Chloe finished first girl in the Laser Radial Class with a race to spare and second overall in a fleet of over 100 Laser Radials. She won three of the nine races. 

The ISAF World Youth Championship is the pinnacle of youth sailing and viewed by ISAF as second only in importance to the Olympics. This year it is being held in Kingston, Canada on Lake Ontario from the 12^th to the 21^st July. Chloe will join a team of ten representing GBR and be the sole representative in the Laser Radial class. Last year the Laser Radial Class was the largest class at the ISAFs with over 40 Nations competing.

Chloe has been supported by the KSSA with the award of the prestigious Nesham Driver Award last Autumn to assist her with additional top quality coaching. Unfortunately for Chloe, she was beaten into second place by one of her training partners, Thomas Willis, who is a former KSSA member from Downs Sailing Club.
